Following the publication of the story, there was massive reaction from the citizens on the issue. The passport office denounced the story and underlined that the article makes people think that the office too is at the core of the corruption allegations.

The journalist was informed from some sources that the National Committee for the Fight Against illegal Medicines met to discuss some of the issues that he raised in his writing. He was also informed that body planned to reach out to him on the side of the organisation of the 2019 Campaign for the fight against street medicines.

The Director-General of Ghana Education Service and other Directors at the Ministry of Education have heard and read the story. The journalist sent them the links. The Headmaster of the school has also told the journalist that his superiors have promised to hire more sign language interpreters.

There has been no reaction from the state. However, a team of doctors from the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital has contacted the journalist on how to step in.

The team intends to visit the facility, screen the women, and supply medical consumables.
