Mission Statement
MFWA was organized in 1973 in an effort
by both coaches and officials working together to
improve and promote the sport of wrestling.
The goal of the officials is to improve and perpetuate
competent wrestling officiating at all levels in Central
Florida and maintain an open, working relationship
with coaches to develop consistency in wrestling rules
enforcement.
The association is continuing, by the use of the latest
technology, to promote the communications between its
members, prospective wrestling officials, wrestling
coaches, school administrators, and high school wrestling
fans.

Mid-Florida Wrestling Association, Inc. is proud to announce
the launching of their new web site. This web site will help
the Association bring its members into the Twenty-First Century.
The objective is to serve both the coaches and officials
equally to keep current on all necessary aspects of the wrestling
community.
 Every member now has ready access to all the fundamental
documents - constitution, bylaws, policies, service contract,
committee assignments and pass-thru procedures. You can see
photos of the present board members, officials, and coaches.
You can also view rosters back to the association’s
inception in 1973. If you have any information concerning
or corrections of these past rosters or the association’s
history, please email any board member.
 Each
school has the opportunity to expand its section of the web
site to include the history of its wrestling team,
news or photos related to its team. The calendar is available
to announce any event that Scott Gomrad receives from the
coaches and the association president receives from officials.
It has the possibility of being used to find teams for a
tournament that will be held next year.
The second phase of the web site development will be secure
to allow its members access to training material - test questions
and training videos etc. The members will be able to keep
their data current so that the association can stay in communication
with its members. Lists will be available so that members
can communicate quickly with each other via email or phone.
