Category: Best Report for Sustainable Development Goals Adam Alqali is an award-winning journalist and an editor of the African Newspage in Nigeria who has a strong understanding and experience in reporting on sustainable development goals. His story “Out of school children: Nigeria’s ticking time-bomb ” was adjudged best report for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Category.

The story focused on the sustainable development goal 4– ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. It spotlighted the untold stories of over 10.5 million children who are out of school, and the looming socio-economic and security consequences the huge numbers of the out-of-school children pose to Africa’s most populous nation, Nigeria.
