Martine Yabré

Martine is an activist for the defence of women’s rights in Burkina Faso. A gender specialist, she is the coordinator of the consultation framework for organizations and actors working on gender and women’s civic participation in Burkina Faso. She is an activist for the promotion of citizenship in Burkina Faso.

Yabre’ contributes to the monitoring of sectoral policies in connection with the evaluation of gender mainstreaming. She participated in the development of the national gender strategy and its communication plan. In this commitment to the promotion of women’s rights, she participated in the gender discussion of the National Assembly of Burkina Faso . 

Martine is also a founding member of the women peace and security coalition of Burkina Faso, a group that organizes actions to promote communal tolerance in Burkina Faso. She campaigned for the respect of the gender quota in political parties in Burkina Faso.
