Boureima Ouedraogo is Programme Manager at the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) under the Freedom of Expression programme.
Member of the Steering Committee of our partner in Burkina Faso, the Norbert Zongo Press Center, Ouédraogo works with the MFWA from Ouagadougou. He coordinates the work of the network of MFWA freedom of expression monitors (correspondents) in the Sahel countries of West Africa, namely Burkina Faso, Mali, Mauritania and Niger
Ouédraogo has a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology as well as certificates in information science. He has also done professional courses in Ouagadougou, Geneva and Denmark.
He is two-times winner of the anti-corruption prize (first prize) in 2010 and 2012, awarded by the National Anti-Corruption Network of Burkina Faso.
In terms of professional media associations, he is the President of the Society of Private Press Editors (SEP).
