In its first quarterly Monitor of this year, the MFWA recorded 43 incidents of violations from January to March 2015. Nearly 90% of the 43 incidents were press freedom violations against media actors. Niger performed worst with 10 recorded incidents; meanwhile, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, Liberia, Mauritania and Togo each recorded 0 incidents.
