Metro Conference Wrestling Tournaments
The first Metro Conference Wrestling Tournament was held
at Lyman High School on 2 Feb 74 with Bishop Moore, Boone,
Colonial, Edgewater, Evans, Jones, Lyman and Winter Park
participating.
Apopka and Oak Ridge joined the conference in 1976 while
Bishop Moore withdrew in that year. Lyman withdrew in 1977.
West Orange joined in 1979. Dr. Phillips joined in 1987 while
Cypress Creek joined the conference in 1994. Oak Ridge dropped
their wrestling program in 1989 while University joined in
1991. Olympia and Timber Creek joined in 2001.
